Hello! I am Ms. Haskins. I believe strongly in your right to read, seek information, and speak freely. I love solving information problems, and learning new things, and I look forward to sharing my skills with you! To support intellectual freedom, I will not repeat or disclose the books you read, or the questions or ideas you share with me (except as legally required if you share that you or someone else under 18 years old is in danger- see Mandated Reporting for details).
I first started my work in libraries 15 years ago, and continue to love to connect people with the information and learning opportunities that fit their goals. I have a Bachelor's degree in English-Writing, and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. I have teaching credentials in high school Art, English, Health Sciences, and Home Economics, as well as Career and Technical Education- Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation.
On a more personal note, I have been married to my wonderful husband for 8 years. I have 2 beautiful dogs, a twin sister, and a long history of mental illnesses- most notably, General Anxiety Disorder. I am queer. I speak French and have traveled extensively through Europe, a tiny bit through Africa, and I once went out to dinner on the Asian continent while staying on the European side of Istanbul.
I like to read fiction (especially science fiction and realistic fiction), but truly love to read non-fiction. If a book is good enough to read once, I almost always read it a second, and sometimes a third time. In recent years, my reading interest has focused around antiracism, American history, medical ethics, and data privacy.

What I'm reading now!
2020 was a wonderful year in my reading journey!
I have always loved print books, but never enjoyed an ebook until 2018. By the time the world locked down for the pandemic, I loved reading online, and dug in to SacLibrary's ebook and audiobook collection to read non-stop!
